PRE ORDER - R-Type - R-9A (Arrow Head) figure, Plastic Model Kit

The R-9A comes from the R-Type universe, a science-fiction shoot’em up series where pilots fight the Bydo threat using R-Series spacecraft. This model is one of the most iconic machines in the franchise, often associated with the Force system mounted at the front of the ship. This official R-9A plastic model kit by Plum measures approximately 25 cm long, is produced in 1/100 scale and is part of the Plastic Model Kit collection.

In R-Type, the R-9A represents the classic player combat craft, built to cross hostile areas filled with creatures, machines and enemy fire. Its connection to the Force module gives the gameplay a strong identity, mixing protection, frontal attacks and strategic detachment. The model kit reflects that image through an elongated silhouette, a large spherical front module and a mechanical structure that highlights its role as an armed spacecraft.

Visually, the R-9A features a light gray and white hull, with blue and red lines on the mechanical arms surrounding the front module. The translucent purple cockpit is placed on top of the main body, while the large pale yellow sphere is attached at the front by two long articulated extensions. The rear of the ship shows several mechanical volumes, gray panels, small fins and a thin antenna. The overall shape stays low, stretched and very technical, making the model easy to display from the side.
