The Evangelion Production Model Custom Type-08a appears in Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition as one of NERV's advanced Evangelion units built to battle the Angels. Piloted by Mari Illustrious Makinami, this customized version of EVA-08 is designed for highly mobile operations and specialized weapon deployment. This official 25 cm Robo-Dou figure by ThreeZero faithfully recreates this iconic machine from the film series.

EVA-08a fights alongside Mari during several major battles where its versatility and precision play a key role. Its equipment changes depending on the mission, allowing it to switch between long-range weaponry and close-combat gear. This articulated figure captures that adaptability, making it easy to recreate dynamic action poses inspired by the movies.

The figure features the Evangelion in its distinctive pink, white, black and orange color scheme, with its elongated helmet and bright green eyes. It includes an extra-long sniper rifle, a handgun, a combat knife and several effect parts visible in the promotional images. The shoulder armor can be repositioned, and additional parts allow for different display options. Its many articulation points make it suitable for a wide range of action poses.
