Neon Genesis Evangelion

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a Japanese anime signed Hideaki Anno from the studio Gainax. The franchise was subsequently declined in film as well as in several mangas. Often referred to as Evangelion, the anime deals with mecha and offers a multitude of violent action scenes that sometimes strike sensibility.

The story takes place in the year 2000 when a big explosion takes place in Antarctica. After that and fifteen years later, the planet managed to overcome this dramatic event which had a negative impact. Nevertheless, Angel-bearing creatures now seek to attack the city of Tokyo-3 and in order to repel them, the NERV organization is set up. Their main weapon? The Evangelion. Our hero is Shinji Ikari and he is only 14 years old but among the other known characters, we think of course Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley Soryu or Kaworu Nagisa.
