PRE ORDER - The Lord of the Rings - Faramir figure Charge on Osgiliath, Limited Edition

Faramir, Captain of Gondor in The Lord of the Rings, is portrayed during one of his most tragic trials: the charge on Osgiliath ordered by his father Denethor. This 1/6 scale polystone statue stands approximately 62 cm tall and forms a substantial equestrian composition limited to 860 pieces, created by Weta Workshop.

The scene captures the moment Faramir leads his men toward Orc-occupied Osgiliath despite the almost certain outcome of the assault. Sculptor Gary Hunt focused closely on the relationship between rider and mount to convey their shared momentum, studying equine anatomy and movement in depth. Faramir’s armor and accessories were developed using references from the original pieces, while the grassy base was physically sculpted by Shaun Bolton.

The image shows Faramir leaning forward on a galloping horse, his sword extended ahead and his mouth open as though calling the charge. His metallic armor, chainmail and the horse’s protective gear are clearly rendered, while the flowing mane, tail and leg positions reinforce the sense of speed. The composition rests on uneven ground covered with grass and debris, mounted on a black oval display base.
