PRE ORDER - The Lord of the Rings - Diorama Rivendell figure, Limited Edition

In The Lord of the Rings, Rivendell is the Elven valley founded by Elrond, hidden beneath the protection of the surrounding mountains and crossed by clear flowing waters. Known as the Last Homely House east of the Sea, it offers shelter from the weariness of the world and a place where travelers may recover; its courtyard also hosts the Council of Elrond, the decisive gathering where the fate of the One Ring is discussed and the Fellowship of the Ring is formed.

Weta Workshop has completely rebuilt this iconic environment as a limited edition of 1,000 pieces, fifteen years after its original interpretation. With the former molds no longer usable and 3D scanning unable to preserve the required level of detail, the diorama was recreated from the ground up using original plans, on-set references and film imagery to produce a larger, more complete and more faithful representation of the valley.

Made primarily of polystone, the diorama brings together Elven buildings, terraces, bridges, stairways, waterfalls and an expanded section of the surrounding mountains on a black oval base. The courtyard of the Council of Elrond is accurately incorporated into Rivendell for the first time, while green and autumnal vegetation surrounds the rocky landscape and translucent waterways. Digital sculpting was completed by Kathyrn Parr, Bawal Saggi and Simon Lissaman, with additional physical sculpting by Leonard Ellis.
