Hexa Gear - Managarmr figure, Plastic Model Kit

In Hexa Gear, Kotobukiya’s original sci-fi setting revolves around modular machines built for combat and tactical operations, assembled as customizable platforms where weapons, mobility, and animal-like silhouettes all matter. Managarmr leans hard into the idea of a mechanical predator, a quadruped frame shaped for hunting and striking fast rather than standing still. This official figure is a plastic model kit made of plastic, in 1/24 scale, about 18 cm tall, manufactured by Kotobukiya, and it looks distinct the moment it’s built.

Managarmr reads like a unit meant to rush in, latch onto a target, and keep pressure on, more pursuit-and-assault than static dueling. In the Hexa Gear spirit, that kind of machine also suggests modular loadouts: the same core body can carry different equipment depending on the mission, and the pilot is not just decoration, it helps sell the scene and the scale. The figure captures that with a low, ready-to-pounce posture, and with a small rider placed on top, which immediately gives the build a clear sense of intent.

Visually, it’s a quadruped mecha in blue-gray armor, with dark gray sections visible at the joints and inner frame. The head is shaped like an angular wolf muzzle and skull, while the back carries stacked plates and mechanical volumes that feel like integrated gear. A large side-mounted weapon module sits along the body, ending in a dark front piece that mixes a claw-like profile with a compact cannon feel, suggesting a close-range capture or strike tool. The legs are thick and segmented, with slimmer contact points that reinforce the “mechanical beast” look, and a small white pilot is clearly visible on top, seated/secured like on a technical saddle. Once it’s standing on all four supports, it displays cleanly with a strong horizontal silhouette.
