Zoids - Fangriffon figure, Plastic Model Kit

Before the product description, one small correction: despite the title "Fangriffon", the official product identifies the machine as FANGRIFFON, a brand-new original design created for the ZOIDS × PATLABOR Code Name B.U.D.D.Y. collaboration. It is a motorized plastic model kit measuring approximately 26 cm, manufactured from PS, PE, ABS and PVC by Takara Tomy. The kit also includes parts to build the Black Fang Tiger configuration.

In the Zoids universe, ZOIDs are biomechanical combat machines inspired by animals. FANGRIFFON is an original machine created for the ZOIDS × PATLABOR Code Name B.U.D.D.Y. project, where it appears as a formidable opponent to the story's protagonists. This motorized plastic model kit measures approximately 26 cm and joins Takara Tomy's Synergenex line, reinventing the Fang Tiger with a completely redesigned silhouette and striking black wings.

Designed as a highly aggressive combat machine, FANGRIFFON features a mechanical design by Hideki Tenjin under the supervision of Yutaka Izubuchi, while Kazunori Ito contributed to the project's world-building. Once assembled, the model walks using its internal motor, gradually lowers its head, deploys its Twin Fangs forward and animates them while opening and closing its jaws. Additional parts are also included to recreate the Black Fang Tiger version, allowing two different appearances from this collaborative project.

The model features a quadrupedal big-cat silhouette completely covered in glossy black angular armour. Large black wings are mounted on each side of the back and can be manually positioned in multiple directions. The elongated head incorporates a translucent red visor at the front, while grey mechanical details remain visible beneath the armour panels. Its mechanical legs end in long silver claws accented by numerous red details across the joints and equipment.
