Zoids - AZ-01 Blade Liger figure, Plastic Model Kit

If you think Zoids, the Blade Liger (AZ-01) is one of the first designs that comes to mind: a high-speed mechanical big cat built for aggressive pushes and decisive strikes. This is an official Plastic Model Kit made of plastic, in 1/72 scale, manufactured by Takara Tomy, so you get to recreate the Liger as a proper build.

In the Zoids universe, Blade Liger reads as a front-line predator machine: fast, hard-hitting, and engineered to take control of the battlefield through sheer presence and momentum. Its identity is tied to that mix of mobility and built-in weaponry, like a living weapon system rather than just a robot animal. That’s exactly what the figure’s stance communicates, with a low, forward-leaning posture that feels ready to lunge.

What you see is a lion-type mechanical quadruped with bold blue armor panels, white vent-like sections, and a heavily detailed dark gray inner frame full of joints, pistons, and round mechanical components. The head features a translucent orange canopy and long gold saber-like fangs, matched by gold claw/foot parts, while white markings (including “RZ-028”) sit on the armor. Toward the back, the body becomes more angular with fin-like shapes, and the segmented tail ends in a sharp tip; there’s also a separate gold paw piece shown alongside the figure in the image.
