Ginga Hyouryuu Vifam - FAM-RV-S1 VIFAM Initial Equipment figure, Metal Action

The FAM-RV-S1 VIFAM is a standout mecha from the classic sci-fi anime Ginga Hyōryū Vifam (aka Round Vernian Vifam), a 1980s series produced by Sunrise. Though lesser-known to mainstream audiences, it's beloved by fans of retro mecha, offering a story-rich universe where a group of children survive space perils by piloting combat machines far beyond their years.

The VIFAM itself features a design that perfectly blends rounded retro aesthetics with functional military lines. This "Initial Equipment" version faithfully reflects the unit’s original loadout as seen early in the series, with its sleek visor, shoulder joints, long rifle, and distinctive red, black, and white color scheme.

Produced by Evolution Toy, this 17 cm figure is part of their Metal Action Figure line and boasts a combination of plastic and die-cast parts for a premium feel. The articulation is solid and versatile, allowing for dynamic posing, and the attention to design detail makes it a must-have for fans of vintage mecha. Whether displayed as a nostalgic centerpiece or posed in mid-action, the VIFAM stands proud among classic robot icons.
