PRE ORDER - Gintama - Okita Sougo figure, G.E.M. Series Palm Size

Okita Sougo comes from Gintama, a series that blends absurd comedy with more serious arcs, set in an alternate Edo where samurai, aliens, and rival factions collide. This official Okita Sougo figure by Megahouse is part of the G.E.M. Series Palm Size line, made of PVC, and stands about 8 cm tall. The “Palm Size” format suits a relaxed scene perfectly, focusing on character attitude rather than a big action pose.

In Gintama, Okita is the captain of the Shinsengumi’s First Division, known for his cool-headed nature, dark humor, and unpredictable streak that can turn genuinely dangerous. He has an especially sharp dynamic with Hijikata, whom he loves to tease and push into impossible situations, and he also shares a meaningful bond with his sister Mitsuba, hinting at a softer side behind the grin. That contrast is a big part of what makes him stand out: one moment he’s casually cruel, the next he’s a truly formidable fighter. This figure captures that duality well by presenting him as laid-back and almost lazy, yet still carrying that confident look that suggests he’s in control.

Visually, Okita is seated on the ground with one leg stretched out and the other bent, giving him a loose, relaxed posture. He wears the Shinsengumi’s dark uniform with gold trim and visible strap details, paired with black shoes. His light brown hair frames his face, and he holds a small red piece above his head, like a little mask or decorative plate, adding a playful note to the scene. The low, stable pose makes it easy to display on a shelf or desk without a bulky base getting in the way.
