Gintama - Figure Katshura, Ichibansho

In Gintama, Katsura is one of the series’ most memorable figures, known for his outward seriousness, strategic mind, and the constant contrast between his image as a revolutionary and the absurd situations he often ends up in. His restrained silhouette and immediate association with Elizabeth make him instantly recognizable within the world of the series. This official Katshura PVC figure by Bandai, from the Ichibansho line, stands approximately 15 cm tall and captures that calm and distinctive presence very well.

Within the world of Gintama, Katsura holds an essential place as Gintoki’s former comrade, a leader of the anti-shogunate movement, and a character capable of moving from comedy to much more serious moments without ever losing coherence. Behind his often offbeat side, he remains a man deeply committed to his convictions and to his past bonds, with real dignity in the way he acts. His relationship with Gintoki, his opposition to the ruling power, and his very particular connection with Elizabeth give him a unique identity in the series. He brings a very rare blend of nobility, absurdity, and political seriousness to the story, and the figure reflects that duality well through a still, controlled pose accompanied by his most iconic companion.

Visually, the piece shows Katsura seated on the ground with his legs folded in front of him and his arms crossed over his knees. He wears a simple black outfit with gold buttons, blue-and-white shoes, and his long black hair falls straight around the face. His expression remains calm, closed-off, and very composed. Beside him stands Elizabeth, shown in its large rounded white body with a yellow beak, yellow feet, and a minimalist face with round eyes. The contrast between Katsura’s restraint and Elizabeth’s simple, almost absurd shape gives the whole set an immediately recognizable display presence.
