In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Kanao Tsuyuri is a Demon Slayer trained at the Butterfly Mansion under the care of Kanae and Shinobu Kocho. Quiet and initially unable to make decisions for herself, Kanao relies on a coin before gradually learning to follow her own feelings. As the inheritor of Kanae’s fighting style, she uses Flower Breathing and handles her sword with remarkable precision in battle against demons.

Kanao is depicted in motion with her body gently turned and one leg bent behind her as both hands rest on the handle of her sword. She wears her dark purple uniform with a buttoned jacket and pleated skirt, completed by a pale belt and tall white boots with brown laces. Her black hair is tied to one side with a butterfly-shaped ornament, with several strands flowing around her face and large purple eyes.
