In the DC Comics universe, Batman is Gotham City's vigilante, relying on training, technology and strategy to fight crime without supernatural powers. Tsume dedicates this approximately 51 cm tall 1/6 scale Ikigai statue to the character, drawing inspiration from Jim Lee's visual style in Batman: Hush and building the piece around a highly vertical action scene.

The composition depicts Batman launching above the GCPD signal, suspended by his grappling line in an athletic pose that emphasizes the dramatic spread of his cape. The base incorporates several references to his enemies, including markings associated with the Joker, urban debris, heavy smoke and translucent elements reminiscent of Mr. Freeze's ice. A small red-eyed bat also accompanies the scene.

Batman's dark costume is sculpted with extensive surface detailing designed to emphasize the anatomy and the different materials of his equipment, while the paintwork enhances the contrast between the suit and cape. The tension of the grappling line, the broad movement of the cape and the various effects incorporated into the base give the composition a strong sense of motion inspired by Gotham's darker atmosphere.
