In ARMORED CORE 3, the CREST CR-C75U2 is an Armored Core designed for medium and close-range combat, notably appearing in the game’s opening sequence. Kotobukiya brings it back to the Variable Infinity line with this approximately 16 cm tall 1/72 scale Close Quarters Ver., featuring completely redesigned tooling for this reissue.
The kit combines the CREST CR-C75U2 frame with an especially heavy loadout including the WR04M-PIXIE2 machine gun, CR-WL69LB laser blade, WB04M-NYMPHE2 missiles, CR-WB78GL grenade launcher and CR-E90AM2 extensions. Several part divisions and runners have been redesigned to improve the model’s overall durability while retaining the compatibility standards of the Variable Infinity series. Two different types of hands are also included for alternative display options.
The CREST CR-C75U2 features a bulky silhouette built around metallic grey, dark gunmetal and deep blue armor with subtle purple and red details. Its oversized shoulders carry multiple weapon systems, while the large machine gun held in its right arm reinforces its close-combat configuration. Long armored legs, a compact torso and numerous exposed mechanical components capture the heavy industrial appearance characteristic of the machines from ARMORED CORE 3.
